Understanding equicoaching
In the field, your gestures, posture and responses become observable. The horse’s response can highlight a gap between what you intend to communicate, what you say and how you act. With Nicolas, the experience connects to a concrete situation at work.
The value lies in moving between experience and reflection. With Nicolas, you describe what happened, separate facts from interpretations and consider what it reveals about a situation at work.
The horse’s response opens a discussion; it is not a verdict on your personality or abilities.
Team building creates a shared experience. Equicoaching adds an explicit development goal, guided observation and time to connect the experience to management. It can extend a team day or form part of a seminar.
How a session unfolds
The horse provides a practical starting point. Guided reflection connects each exercise to your challenge, without aiming for an equestrian performance.
Clarify the objective, participants and context. Discuss concerns and agree how experiences will be shared and fed back.
Build a connection on foot through progressive instructions. Observe your posture, choices and responses during the interaction.
Put facts and feelings into words. With Nicolas, distinguish what was observed from what was interpreted.
Choose a workplace situation in which to try an adjustment and define what you can observe afterwards.
The debrief turns a feeling into a clear development opportunity. These reference points connect the encounter to a real situation rather than a general impression.

Your contact, from preparation to the field
For nearly 20 years, Nicolas has designed and led business events and outdoor experiences, including for organisations based in Geneva and Lyon. As a business leader and hiking guide, he understands the realities of organisation, decision-making and leading a group.
A professional breeder of Comtois working horses, he brings a daily relationship with horses to equicoaching. His approach combines this practice with his management education and experience guiding groups in natural environments.
The equicoaching offer is developed in partnership with Les Carnets d’Éveils, building on the management training Nicolas has undertaken.
Discover his backgroundThe Jura & Lake Geneva region
The Ferme Équi’table des Monts-Jura is the base for the discovery offer. Its pastures, working horses and mountain surroundings give living animals and nature a tangible role in the programme.

For businesses around the cross-border Lake Geneva region, the venue is chosen with the programme. Other locations, residential options and availability are confirmed in the proposal.
FAQ
Useful answers for planning a project with your leadership, HR team or colleagues.
No. This equicoaching experience takes place entirely on foot. No equestrian skill is required and learning to ride is not the objective.
Both approaches can be considered. A leader or manager can work on their own presence; a group can explore a cooperation challenge. Group composition and facilitation are defined in the initial conversation.
The 1.5-hour discovery session offers a first introduction. Two 4-hour workshops focus on conflict or leading a team through a crisis. The 24- to 48-hour immersion is part of a residential programme. We select the format based on your objective, not simply the time available.
Interactions on foot are guided and instructions are progressive. Preparation provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, participant needs and respect for the horse. Practical arrangements are clarified before the encounter.
The discovery session is offered at the Ferme Équi’table des Monts-Jura. For other programmes, we select a venue according to your project, hosting conditions and availability. The venue is confirmed in the quote.
Prepare a professional situation you would like to explore rather than a list of broad objectives. We then provide details of clothing, footwear, timings and arrangements suited to the venue. Discuss any concerns in the first conversation.
Tell us about accessibility needs or any concerns about horses during our initial conversation. We explore possible adaptations with you according to the venue, terrain and planned exercises.
The quote takes account of participant numbers, preparation, duration, venue and required facilitation. Meals, accommodation and any travel are specified. Booking conditions are provided with the proposal.
Share a specific situation. Nicolas will help clarify the objective, participants and a suitable format for your organisation.
